I tested Boost and Classic and both are working fine for me. Can you test Classic to see if something changes?
Hello Antonio,
Yes! I changed the template to Classic and auto-height works as expected. But if I change it back to Boost the wrapper auto-height fails. To be sure, I deleted custom raw css in Boost, purged cache, and indeed the auto-height feature fails in Boost but works with Classic.
I don't know why auto-height is not working for you after the upgrade...
...I have now made a new installation on a test server, and I can confirm that auto-height is working as expected there too.
Everything was working as expected before the Moodle 4 upgrade and no settings were changed prior to upgrading. The auto-height problem with the Boost theme only showed up after the upgrade.
Still, even though you can confirm auto-height is working as expected on a new installation, I would like to avoid having to do that just to get the Boost theme to work correctly with Joomdle again. Not the solution I was looking forward to.
Have you tried upgrading to Moodle 4 to see if you can replicate the problem and identify the cause? I can use the Classic theme for now but perhaps there is a new setting or a code error somewhere that can changed versus having to do a clean install? Doesn't seem like a reasonable solution but I suppose it could have been way worse with big Moodle 4 update.
Thank you for all your help and suggestions, and for Joomdle!
Ciao,
Rene

When I log in to Joomla, it is not logging me in to moodle.
If I clear the cache, then log in to Joomla, it logs me into moodle as well... it does that once only. If I log out and then log in again, it fails to log me into moodle when I log in to Joomla.
Clearing the cache fixes the issue but as soon as you log out and log in, logging in to moodle fails until you clear the cache.

If the wrapper works fine with Boost theme there (as I expect), you know that there is something going on with your customization/whatever that makes your site not work as expected.

From your description, I would say that the issue is an incorrect configuration of the Moodle Cookie Path parameter. Please check and let me know if you have doubts.

Hi Antonio,
Upon taking a closer look, Joomdle's auto-height feature / wrapper function is also not working as expected with the Classic theme. At first glance it appeared fine but after looking more closely, it also does not work as expected using Classic theme.
I respectfully disagree with your solution- upgrading is not the same as a clean install. In fact, I did a clean install of Joomla, Moodle, and Joomdle less than 2 weeks ago. Nothing fancy, no extra plugins, just using all of these out-of-the-box with default installation / templates/ components and some custom CSS (which at your suggestion has since been removed). As you've indicated, I can confirm that everything worked fine after a clean install. Still, now after the upgrade to Moodle 4, Joomdle is not working the same as before. So every time Moodle is updated Joomdle will not work and we'll need to do a clean install of Moodle? Sounds troublesome.
In my situation, the upgrade to Moodle 4 broke the function of Joomdle which is relevant to the original poster's question- does Joomdle work as expected after upgrading to Moodle 4? As far as I can tell the answer is a resounding 'no'.
I think before I do another clean install, I'm going to first uninstall/reinstall Joomdle and see if that changes anything. I will update the thread on my findings as soon as I can get to it.
Thank you again for your time and for Joomdle!

Rene

Can you explain more how it does not work?

That's the point of the test: to see if it is related to something in your server or something in your live Moodle installation.
> upgrading is not the same as a clean install.
For this, it should be no difference between an upgrade and a clean install, as far as I can tell.
> So every time Moodle is updated Joomdle will not work and we'll need to do a clean install of Moodle?
This has nothing to do with a real new install. It is just a test.
Of course, the best thing to do would have been to upgrade a site copy, and test there, before upgrading a production site.

That should have no effect on this issue.

Hello Antonio,
I can explain more but really don't have the time to continue going back and forth, sorry.

I have no reason to believe the problems are related to the server or the live Moodle installation and I really don't have the time to continue testing the Joomdle component setup for you and find a solution, sorry.
> For this, it should be no difference between an upgrade and a clean install, as far as I can tell.
But there is a difference- Joomdle is working for me on a clean install but not when upgrading moodle database. Besides there being major differences between upgrading any database versus performing a new installation, suggesting to setup a test install to check if Joomdle works on a clean install is pointless- we already know it works on a new install.

Thankfully the site is a test site and not live. Still doesn't resolve the issue of Joomdle not working after upgrade.

Not directly, but indirectly yes. I uninstalled Joomdle and loaded a default wrapper menu item in Joomla that points to moodle, set auto-height to 'yes' and this loads moodle correctly in wrapper. I also tried using default wrapper module in Joomla that points to moodle, set auto-height to 'yes' and it also loads moodle correctly in wrapper. Still does not solve seamless login integration but it's a start.
I will update any further findings as soon as I can get to it. Thanks again!

I am having the same issue. any fix?
I am running moodle 4 with joomla 3, and when using joomdle wrapper menu item, the auto-height also not working. I can not see the full moodle page.
I installed moodle in a sub folder of the same domain.

Did you follow this?
www.joomdle.com/wiki/Installing_Joomdle_...mbedding_for_wrapper
What theme are you using? Try changing to see if it has any effect.
As I cannot replicate the issue, I cannot provide any more suggestions. If you want, you can email me at antonio at joomdle and I will take a quick look at your site.
