After successfully registering a new user from Joomla, the registered user not displaying in the Manatee's list on Moodle Home page. I have checked and found the registered user was in the Moodle user list as well.

when I unticked the assigned user group -> save and again reassigned the unticked user group --> save in Joomla then, the user was appearing in the Moodle home page's mentee list.

which wouldn't be the right practice to resolve this issue. could anyone look into this issue, please?

Joomdle latest release 2.0.4 Fixed the user sync problem with PHP8. we have installed the Joomdle latest release 2.0.4 in the patching activity, we still use PHP version 7 which could be the missing part here so, was it caused by PHP7?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hi.

Please don't double post. I have deleted the other one.

I will try to replicate the problem as soon as possible and get back to you.

Hi.

I tried, but could not replicate the problem: when I create a new child, it shows right away in Moodle's mentees block.
What are you using to show mentees in Moodle?

Sorry, I don't know what you mean.

I also don't know how the user group change and save can trigger the action, as I have checked the code and the parent role is assigned only on new children registration.....

Thank you for looking into the request.

try to answer your query :

1. What are you using to show mentees in Moodle?

we are using the block_mymentees moodle plugin to show mentees in Moodle.

2. in the patching activity, we still use PHP version 7 which could be the missing part here so, was it caused by PHP7?
Sorry, I don't know what you mean.

Joomdle mentioned below in the latest release that they fixed the sync problem with PHP 8. we are using PHP7 so, just wanted to confirm that it was caused by the PHP7 version.

www.joomdle.com/component/content/article?id=97

Joomdle 2.0.4 for Joomla 3 and 4

Fixed user sync problem with PHP8
Fixed redirect-less SSO with PHP8
Improved error reporting on redirect-less SSO from Moodle
User disabled in Joomla when suspended in Moodle and viceversa

Thanks for your assistance.

No. It was fixed in PHP8. It was already working fine in PHP7.
