User problem was created by Pierrick Le Brun
Using Joomdle component user tool, when I add a Joomla user to Moodle, it shows up as a new line in the user list and populates the moodle and joomdle columns. However it does not records his name or email (see screenshot).

If I checked on the Moodle side, that new user has been created, but without his name or email (only the username)

Is this error connected to my other post ?

Hi.

2 things here:
1- Nothing will work properly if system check is not ok

2- Moodle does not like usernames with caps, so you should not use them.
You can install the Joomdle user check plugin to prevent users from using caps and other not permitted symbols:

OK, noted. Will try to resolve this.

Yes, I did install it, but I suppose that it is not working retroactively... so what is a possible workaround when you already have 600 + users ?

Well, there's no workaround, really.
The only way to make it work would be to change usernames to lowercase in Joomla before creating the Moodle users.
You would need to change all usernames with caps, and inform the users so they can keep logging in.

OK, Probably the best procedure would be to inform users by including a message in the mail received when enrolling to a course. That shouldn't be too much of a hassle.
Thanks for the info and clarifications !

Or maybe I could correct older usernames directly in the DB, this way it would be transparent for the users since, it wouldn't affect their passwords.
Even if later on they continue to log in with capitals in their usernames, it's processed by Joomla as small caps anyways.

Yes, changing the usernames in the database should work fine, but I would still inform the users that their usernames are now lowercase.

Actually I'm thinking of an even better and cleaner setup => www.joomdle.com/forum/shop-e-commerce-in...p-and-users-settings
