I would set that itemid as registered, so it is Joomla the one doing the redirection to login.
That way, when you log in, it will redirect you to the right place.

That idemid is already set as registered. The user gets redirected to that menu item (i.e. mydomain.com/myaccount) but not to the full url from the link (i.e. mydomain.com/index.php?option=com_joomdle&view=wrapper&moodle_page_type=course&id=33&Itemid=333).
Is this because I am using the wrapper and is there maybe some workaround possible?

No, wrapper does not matter.
In Joomla, if you try to access a registered page, it will redirect you to login form, and when you log in, you should be redirected back to where you wanted to go.
If that is not happening, maybe you have set a fixed URL after logging, so you always get to front page.
I tested this in my local installation and it worked fine.

Yes, you are right. I have set a fixed URL after login. I thought Joomla would handle a specific link different than a normal login.
If I remove the fixed URL after login it redirects correctly.
Is there a warkaround to allow both?

I don't know for sure, but I would say no.
This is just Joomla behaviour, so maybe you can get some more info in the Joomla forum.

Just you google search, or the joomla forum search we do not monitor the joomla forums. There are also plenty of 3d party extensions dealing with redirects you can look at.
